This poster centers around the issue of the Detroit Institute of Arts' predicament of possibly being forced to sell some of their art collection in order to help pay for Detroit's debt. I wanted to center the design around 128 because after doing some research, I found out that the DIA has dealt with similar scandals in its 128 year history and has always fought over its prized possessions.
This was part of a class assignment where after production, my class and I wheat-pasted our posters at the Lincoln Street Art Park in Detroit where they were left for display. This piece, along with others in my class, was featured in an article on Design Observer and can be viewed here.
