A Conversation Between Two Natures

Digital Print on Fabric, Stitched, Laser Cut 16x24in (each)

This is a piece I did during my studies in Digital Fabrication. It is about the relationships formed between two different natures, one that is organic and one that is industrial.

I created vector drawings of the women in Illustrator and had the illustrations printed on fabric with a digital fabric printer. Afterwards, I used a long arm quilting machine to add the stitching patterns.  The backgrounds were also vector illustration patterns created in Illustrator and laser cut onto the birch plywood backing.
