Go! Ice Cream Mural

Go! Ice Cream was looking for a way to spruce up a large wall in their downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan ice cream shop. It was important to keep the vintage era feel of the space and be inclusive in the imagery to showcase the local community. While designing this mural, I wanted to show historical photos of Ypsilanti landmarks and tie in local vintage imagery. It was important to the owner that the mural be inclusive of the community and connect people to the food they eat. I also tied in imagery of fruit, vanilla flowers, and candy that were popular in the ice cream flavors offered in store. This mural involved me designing the collage, painting the walls, circular elements, and using hand cutout images and illustrations that were pasted and sealed on top of the wall.
