The Magician's Materials 

Feature magazine illustrations for the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science and the Arts' alumni magazine online story. 

The pieces in this work were created for an UM LSA online article centered around the research of Matthew Solomon, associate professor in the Department of Film, Television, and Media at the University of Michigan. Matthew Solomons work was on understanding the films and world of French film director Georges Méliès. After doing research on Georges Méliès I decided that the artwork for this article needed to be whimsical and match the era and tone of Méliès' films to showcase a sense of delight and place in historical significance.
